The pose library, the guides and the therapy pages are general information written for a general audience. They are not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist or a qualified teacher watching your actual body.

Yoga carries real physical risk. If you are pregnant, injured, recovering from surgery, or managing any condition, talk to a clinician before starting. If something hurts, stop. You practise at your own risk, and you are responsible for judging what is appropriate for you.

The 3D pose models

The animated figures are rigged digital models built to illustrate the shape of a pose — not a recording of a real instructor and not a reference for your own alignment. They are approximations, some are better than others, and the written steps on each page are the authority. Use a teacher for alignment.

Studio listings

Listings are community-maintained. Schedules, prices, styles and opening hours change constantly and we do not verify every detail continuously. Always check with the studio before you travel. A listing is not an endorsement, and no studio pays us to appear — inclusion is free and editorial.

Retreats and deposits

Where you can pay a deposit for a retreat, that payment is taken through PayPal. The retreat operator is the party you are contracting with — they run the retreat, set its terms, and handle cancellations and refunds. MyLAyoga is not the operator and is not a travel agency.

Read the operator's own terms before paying, and direct questions about dates, inclusions or refunds to them.

Things you submit

If you submit a studio, send a correction or write to us, you are telling us it is accurate and yours to send, and giving us permission to publish and edit it. We can decline or remove any submission. Don't send anything confidential.

Who owns what

The writing, design and pose models on this site are ours. The 3D figures were built with MPFB2 from the MakeHuman community's CC0 system assets. Studio names, logos and photographs belong to their owners and appear here to identify them.

You are welcome to link to anything here. Republishing whole pages is not permitted without asking.

We link to studio sites, retreat operators and other resources. We don't control them and are not responsible for what they say or do.

Where we stand on liability

This site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or disappointment arising from information found here, from a class or retreat you booked after reading it, or from the site being unavailable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes, and the law that applies

These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. They are governed by the laws of the State of California.
