Teacher training

Train to teach yoga in Los Angeles.

Ready to go deeper — or to teach? Here’s how to choose a yoga teacher training in LA, and the studios that run them.

How to choose a training

Hours & certification

Most foundational trainings are 200-hour (RYT-200); advanced is 300/500-hour. Confirm the school’s Yoga Alliance standing yourself.

Style & lineage

A hot-yoga school and an Iyengar school teach very different methods. Pick the lineage you actually want to teach.

Schedule

Intensives run a few weeks; part-time runs evenings/weekends over months. Match it to your life, not the brochure.

Mentorship

Ask how much real teaching practice and feedback you get — that, not the manual, is what makes a teacher.

Not sure where to start?

Try a few classes first — the right training usually grows out of a studio you already love. Browse by style or neighborhood, or add your studio if you run a training.
