Welcome to MyLAyoga
What MyLAyoga is and how to use it — a calm, neighborhood-first directory for finding a yoga studio in Los Angeles by style or by where you live.
Welcome. MyLAyoga is a simple, honest directory of yoga in Los Angeles — built to answer one question without the runaround: where should I practice? No hype, no exclamation-mark urgency, no mirrors-and-egos energy. Just a calm way to find a studio you’ll actually keep going back to.
LA has hundreds of studios spread across a sprawling city, and “yoga near me” almost never means the nearest pin on a map. It means the studio that fits your neighborhood, your schedule, and the kind of class you’re after. That’s the gap this directory is built to close.
Two ways to find your studio
There are two natural starting points, and you can come at it from either one.
By neighborhood. If the deciding factor is a short drive — or a walk — start from where you already are. Browse the directory by neighborhood to see what’s close, from Santa Monica and Venice on the Westside to Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Los Feliz on the east, plus Downtown, the Arts District, Pasadena, Culver City, West Hollywood, Hollywood, and Beverly Grove. The studio you’ll stick with is usually the one that’s easy to get to on a regular Tuesday.
By style. If you already know the kind of class you want — or you’re curious what’s out there — browse by style instead. The directory covers the range LA actually teaches: gentle, floor-based work like restorative and yin; the heat of hot yoga; strength-focused power and sculpt; the precision of Iyengar; the energy of kundalini; plus meditation, sound baths, prenatal classes, and outdoor practice under the California sky.
Either path lands you in the same place: a short, scannable list of real studios with the details that help you choose.
What this directory is — and isn’t
MyLAyoga is curated, never crowded. Every studio in the index is a real LA studio, organized so the information stays plain and the choices stay manageable. It’s a map and a starting point, not a booking platform or a review pile-up — the goal is to point you toward a room worth walking into, then get out of your way.
Alongside the directory, you’ll find guides written for real questions: how to start yoga as a beginner, what the different styles actually feel like, and how to read a class schedule without a glossary. And if your practice points toward teaching, there’s a section on teacher training too.
The directory grows over time. New studios get added, neighborhood pages fill in block by block, and small improvements land where they make finding a class easier. When there’s something genuinely worth telling you, you’ll find it here in the news — kept plain and honest, the same as everything else.
Run a studio? Add it
If you teach or run a studio that belongs in the index, you can put it on the map. Head to submit a studio and send the details. The directory is better the more of LA’s real practice spaces it holds — and we’d rather hear from the people teaching than guess from the outside.
That’s the whole idea: start from your neighborhood or your style, find a class that meets you where you are, and let the practice take care of the rest.
