THE DEN is holding a free Community Wellness Market at The Maya in Long Beach on Sunday 18 October, 3 to 5 p.m. It is an open-format afternoon, not a class: you wander, browse and talk to the people running the stalls. Everyone is welcome, and there is no charge to attend.

What you will find

The organizer describes a curated mix of local artisans, crafters, healers, facilitators and intuitive readers, offering handmade goods, conscious products, mini services and experiential offerings. It is billed as an intimate market meant to support small businesses in Long Beach and to give the local wellness community somewhere to meet, so expect something closer to a neighborhood gathering than a large trade-show floor.

Stay for the sound ceremony

The market is the warm-up for The Listening Temple, An Autumn Sound Ceremony, the same evening. The organizer’s schedule runs like this:

  • 3:00–5:00 p.m., the free market
  • 4:30 p.m., mingle and tea
  • 5:00–7:00 p.m., The Listening Temple with Sonic Devas, an evening of live sound and meditation with singing, mantra and sound healing, performed in the round with surround sound

The ceremony is ticketed separately from the free market. The organizer’s page links to its own ceremony checkout. You can do the market alone, or add the ceremony.

Booking

The market is booked through DEN Meditation’s Arketa page, where the free option is listed as a Single Session. The checkout asks you to log in or sign up first. The same page also promotes a DEN monthly membership (an intro offer, then a monthly fee until canceled), which is optional and not needed for the free market.

The listing names the venue only as The Maya, Long Beach, so check the organizer’s page for the exact address and parking before you go.

MyLAyoga does not run this event and takes no booking. The link goes straight to the organizer.
