Lumeria Maui is a 24-room retreat center on a restored plantation estate in Upcountry Makawao, where every overnight guest gets unlimited daily yoga, meditation and culture classes, and you choose the dates. The Stowe weekend is a dated winter retreat, December 10 to 13, 2026, at Sterling Forest Lodge, from $2,395 per person with three meals a day and daily yoga. Healing the Heart is a silent yoga and Zen weekend at Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, February 5 to 7, 2027: $300 tuition plus two nights' lodging, with meals included.

Getting to the US from LA
- Flights
- LAX to Kahului, Maui (OGG) is nonstop, 5 h 34 min to 6 h 11 min on the current schedule. There is no nonstop to Burlington (BTV) for Stowe, so plan one connection and the drive. LAX to Denver (DEN), for the Drala weekend, is nonstop, 2 h 15 min to 2 h 38 min.
- Colorado
- Drala Mountain Center is about two hours by road from Denver. Drala suggests the Groome Shuttle from Denver International to Fort Collins, booked ahead, then a ride of about 45 minutes.
- Stowe
- Fly into Burlington, the airport the hosts recommend. Ground transport is not included: the hosts help arrange shuttles or taxis, or you can rent a car.
- Prices
- The Stowe weekend is $2,395 per person in a double shared room or $3,395 in a single, with $300 off either if you book and pay in full by October 10, 2026. Lumeria Maui prices on request; we ask for you. The Drala weekend is $300 tuition plus two nights of lodging, which Drala prices by room type at checkout.
- Documents
- These are domestic trips, so no passport is needed; bring the ID the airline asks for.

US retreats: common questions
Which US retreat should I choose?
If you want a set weekend with a small group, choose Stowe in December 2026. If you want the beach, your own dates and a nonstop flight, choose Lumeria Maui. If you want silence and meditation, choose the Drala weekend in Colorado in February 2027. If you cannot take time off, the two Malibu retreats are a drive away.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. The Stowe hosts say every group mixes solo travellers and friends; the double shared room has to be booked by two people together, so on your own you would book the single room. At Lumeria Maui you book your own room.
