Roots & Resonance at Sound Bird Center
A Filipino American History Month art session and ancestral sound bath with Lisa Gonsalves at Sound Bird Center in Mar Vista, Saturday, October 24, 3 to 5 p.m. Donation-based, from $5.
Sound Bird Center marks Filipino American History Month with an evening of art and sound led by Lisa Gonsalves on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Nest, the center’s main studio in Mar Vista.
It opens with a guided art session for personal expression and reflection, then moves into an Ancestral Journey Sound Bath, with gongs, singing bowls, percussion and chimes, to reflect on the people, stories and traditions behind each guest’s roots. Everyone is welcome, whatever their heritage.
It is donation-based: you choose your ticket price, from $5, and 100% of the proceeds go to SIPA (Search to Involve Pilipino Americans).
MyLAyoga does not run this event and takes no booking. The link goes straight to the organizer.
