Ana Netanel of Shakti Sound Bath runs this one at Wolf Connection, a wolf sanctuary and youth-education ranch on Aliso Canyon Road in Acton — about an hour north of central LA, out past Santa Clarita. The format is a restorative sound bath held outdoors on the ranch, with the rescued wolves and their handlers present. Tickets are $250 and the organiser lists all sales as final, with no refunds or transfers.
It is an outdoor event on uneven ground, and the ranch sits high enough that October can turn cold once the sun drops. Shakti recommends layers, plus a blanket, a pillow and anything else that makes lying on the earth comfortable for three hours. Bring water.
Worth knowing before you book: this is a drive, not a class you drop into. Acton is roughly 50 miles from the Westside, and the session runs 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., so the round trip takes most of a Sunday.
