3 yoga studios in Hancock Park
Flow Center For Yoga
The studio calls itself the longest continuously operating yoga room in Los Angeles, founded in 1967 and on Larchmont since 1969, in a 1925 building that was a Masonic temple and then a dance school. Nine formats run off one schedule, from a foundational level-one class and Iyengar through vinyasa, infrared hot flow, power sculpt, pilates and restorative.
Hot yoga North Ray Yoga La Brea
The La Brea studio of North Ray Yoga, the hot yoga studio formerly called Modo Yoga LA. Most classes are warmed by radiant heat panels to 98 to 100°F, from Foundations and two levels of vinyasa flow to yang yin, yin, core flow and HIIT Pilates, while mat Pilates, mobility and Counterbalance classes run cooler, at 85°F. A cold plunge and sauna are open for self-guided contrast therapy, there are showers and keyless lockers, and parking is on the street or in a paid lot a few doors down.
Yoga Box La Brea
Yoga Box's second Los Angeles studio, on South La Brea a few blocks north of Beverly. The class menu is the same as the Hollywood room (hot, vinyasa, power and restorative), in a newer space, and the same three-class trial applies.
