A Wellness Festival With Free Tickets and 20+ Classes Comes to Hollywood on Oct 17

A one-day wellness festival with a free ticket tier is coming to Hollywood. Strength in the City, which runs the same format in several cities, has its Los Angeles date on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Academy LA on Hollywood Boulevard, according to its Eventbrite and SweatPals listings. Yoga is one of more than 20 short classes on the day.

What kind of event it is

Rather than one long class, the festival is a sampler: the organizer lists 20+ mini-classes across a five-hour window, spanning yoga, Pilates, HIIT, dance, meditation and workouts with equipment, with recovery experiences, local vendors and food on site. A free community 5K run or 2-mile walk opens the morning.

The LA stop is one of several. The organizer’s events page also lists a San Diego festival at Waterfront Park on October 24, so the format is a touring one rather than a local studio’s open day.

What is confirmed, and what is not

• Confirmed: the date, the venue (Academy LA, 6021 Hollywood Blvd), the 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. window, and that tickets start at $0. Both ticket listings agree on the date.
• Not published yet: a class-by-class timetable and the names of the teachers.
• Not stated: what the paid ticket tiers cost or add, and whether the food is included or sold by vendors. All sales are final, so check before buying a paid tier.

The presenting sponsor is Atlanta Life Insurance Company, and the organizer says proceeds support the Strength in the City Foundation, without saying what share of ticket money goes to it.

Why it is worth a look
