Explore what’s possible
Dominical is a small surf town on the Osa side of the country: lush jungle behind, a wide dark-sand beach in front, cafés and artisan shops a short walk away. Danyasa Eco-Retreat Center sits in the middle of it, and for these five nights it belongs entirely to the Sweat Yoga group.
The shape of the week is simple. Move in the morning. Explore in the afternoon: a waterfall hike, a cacao ceremony, a sound journey. Rest by the pool or on your deck. Connect over three shared meals a day. Nothing is mandatory, and you don’t need to be “retreat fit” to come.
You don’t need to be ready. You just need to be willing.
Morning meditation and yoga, special workshops, an afternoon reset, and a sound bath or restorative practice to close the day. All levels: you don’t need to be ready, just willing.
A waterfall excursion in the jungle, beach minutes away, and optional zip-lining, surfing and spa time in your free hours.
Pool, hammocks, a private deck, ample unscheduled time. The whole property is reserved for the group, so quiet is easy to find.
Three shared meals a day, a cacao ceremony, a sound journey and a Valentine’s Day Super Bowl screening. Community is the point.
A day at Danyasa
The exact order shifts with the excursion days. Every session is optional.
Wake with the howler monkeys. Fresh fruit, eggs and strong Costa Rican coffee on the deck.
The main practice of the day in the open-air shala, led by Layna. All levels welcome.
Farm-to-table, mostly from local organic growers. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free covered.
Pool, beach, a nap, a walk into Dominical. Nothing on the schedule on purpose.
Waterfall day, the cacao ceremony, or a special workshop, depending on the day.
A short movement or breath practice to land back in the body before evening.
Slow, props-supported practice or a sound journey as the jungle switches on.
Long table, candlelight, the day’s stories. Then early to bed, most nights.

The stay
Danyasa’s rooms are thoughtfully built from upcycled containers and tucked into the greenery, a short walk from the pool and the open-air shala. Expect air conditioning, hot water, Wi-Fi, good bedding and your own deck for the howler-monkey hour. The beach is minutes away on foot.
With the whole center reserved for the group, there is no one else at the pool, no one else at breakfast, and nowhere you have to be.
The table
Meals are prepared on site from high-quality ingredients sourced primarily from local farms that follow organic and sustainable practices, designed to fuel a morning practice and replenish after a waterfall hike. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and common allergies are collected in advance.
Filtered water, hot water, tea and coffee are out all day. Bring your own snacks if you like; there’s a shared fridge, and Dominical’s cafés are a stroll away.
