All studios
Sculpt CorePower Yoga Wilshire
On Wilshire near Bundy, upstairs. One of the larger rooms in the chain's Westside set, running heated power classes and weighted sculpt on a full daily schedule.
Diamond Way Buddhist Center Los Angeles North
A lay Buddhist centre in the Karma Kagyu tradition, run by volunteers out of a house on Valley Vista. The public meditation programme is the way in for newcomers, with talks and special events alongside. A meditation centre rather than a yoga room, and no asana on the schedule.
Equinox Burbank
A full-service gym rather than a yoga studio, listed because the group-fitness schedule carries a real yoga programme — vinyasa and restorative alongside Pilates and barre — taught by staff teachers in a dedicated studio. Membership-based, so this is somewhere you join rather than drop into, and the yoga is one wing of a much bigger building.
Flow Forward Fold Yoga
A small upstairs room on the corner of Ventura and Amestoy, brick-walled and candlelit, running in-person and online classes built around breath and movement. Enter through the alley on weekdays; the studio is on the second floor with its logo on the window.
Restorative Highland Park Yoga
A neighbourhood studio on York Blvd that calls itself one and means it: a bright, plain front room, restorative teacher training, and evening sound baths billed as workshops rather than classes.
HOM Town Yoga
A Howard Hughes Center studio running vinyasa at two levels alongside a basics class, yin, sound baths and a pilates-flow hybrid. The pitch is unserious in a good way — an hour a day, no performance required.
Hot 8 Yoga Culver City
The Culver City branch of Hot 8, on Washington Blvd near downtown Culver. Same deep daily schedule as the chain's other rooms — hot yoga, sculpt and power, most of it heated — and the same seven-days-unlimited welcome week for a first visit.
Hot yoga Hot 8 Yoga Sherman Oaks
The Sherman Oaks room of the Hot 8 chain, on Ventura Boulevard. Heated classes are the spine of the schedule — power, sculpt and a slower hot yin — with sound baths on the calendar alongside. First-timers get a week for the price of a class, which is the cheapest way to find out whether you like the heat.
Hot For Yoga
Old Town Newhall's hot room, heated with far-infrared panels rather than forced air and fitted with a hydroxyl generator and rubber floors — the studio makes a point of not smelling like a hot studio. The schedule runs the traditional 26-posture Bikram series at 95–105°F alongside hot pilates, vinyasa and yin, so it is hotter than most and honest about it.
Hot Yoga Los Angeles
A hot room on Washington Boulevard at the Venice–Marina border, running traditional Bikram alongside hot yin and a hot fusion class — a hybrid studio rather than a single-sequence one. The pitch is on the teaching: seasoned instructors watching your form rather than calling the script from the front. Free parking lot, bike rack, and the entrance is in the rear alley. The company also has a Manhattan Beach room, outside this directory's patch.
HOTWORX Santa Clarita
Not a class in the normal sense: HOTWORX is a 24-hour infrared studio where you book a slot in a sauna pod and a screen leads a 30-minute session — hot yoga, pilates or barre — with no teacher in the room. Useful if your hours are odd and you want heat and a routine; not the place to learn the shapes or be corrected.
INARA LA
A café that is also a yoga room: adaptogenic coffee and a menu by day on Main Street, mats down in the evening. Classes run from about 5pm, with an 'exhale' session on Friday and Saturday nights, and the room doubles as the venue for pop-ups and workshops. Small and community-first rather than a full timetable — check the yoga page before you plan a class around it.
Meditation InsightLA Santa Monica Meditation Center
The Santa Monica home of InsightLA, a non-profit meditation organisation — a hall rather than a yoga room. Weekly classes cover mindfulness and loving-kindness for beginners through to experienced sitters, alongside MBSR and mindful self-compassion courses, Buddhist teachings, daylong retreats and community events. Sessions run in person and online, and there are Spanish-language classes on the calendar. Parking is metered every day except Sunday.
Flow Laughing Frog Yoga
A second-floor studio on Santa Monica Boulevard that takes the practice seriously and itself not very. All levels are genuinely welcome and the beginner classes are a real entry point rather than a slower flow. Goat yoga and puppy yoga turn up on the calendar, as do hikes, bike rides and beach days, and there are outdoor classes at Marine Park in Santa Monica.
Flow Light On Lotus Yoga
Founded by Kate Duyn in 2016 and billed as soulful and sweaty: the signature Lotus Flow is an open-level vinyasa that still means to make you work. Practice happens inside, out in the garden when the weather allows, or live-streamed from home, and the schedule also carries prenatal classes, kirtans, sound baths and teacher trainings. A Wellness Wing books massage, acupuncture and reiki by appointment.
Flow My Yoga Canyon Country
A neighbourhood studio on Sierra Highway with a deep bench of teachers for its size — the site lists a dozen, plus subs. All-levels classes, private sessions, workshops, trainings and retreats, and the kind of place where the schedule is built around who is actually in the community rather than a franchise template.
Flow One Down Dog Eagle Rock
A high-ceilinged Colorado Blvd room with exposed beams and a wall of props — the biggest of the three One Down Dog studios, and the one whose schedule leans hardest on slow flow and restorative.
One Down Dog East Hollywood
The East Hollywood room, on the stretch of Hollywood Blvd east of the tourist end. Same class pass and the same unfussy vinyasa-and-restorative timetable as the other two.
One Down Dog Echo Park
The Angeleno Heights end of Glendale Blvd, and the One Down Dog room that runs the 90-minute sound baths — crystal bowls, gongs and chimes, ticketed separately from the class pass. The regular timetable is vinyasa, yin and restorative.
Puppy Yoga USA
A touring outfit rather than a studio with its own doors: Puppy Yoga USA runs ticketed sessions in several cities and holds its Los Angeles dates at this Ventura Boulevard address. An hour of gentle all-levels flow with puppies loose in the room, which is the point — nobody comes for the alignment. Book a specific date; there is no drop-in timetable here.
Flow Red Diamond Yoga Palms
A Palms studio at the corner of Palms Blvd and Overland Ave, running vinyasa, yin, Iyengar, sculpt and Ashtanga classes alongside meditation sessions and its own teacher training program.
Flow Red Diamond Yoga Washington
The second Red Diamond room, on Washington Boulevard, running the same mix as the Palms studio — vinyasa flow, restorative, traditional practice and meditation — with an infrared sauna attached. Teacher trainings, breathwork trainings, workshops and community adventures round it out. Long opening hours: most days from 7am to 8pm, short on Saturdays.
Flow Reserve Venice
A 50-person studio on Abbot Kinney that hosts independent teachers rather than employing its own — so the calendar is a rotating bill of yoga, pilates, sound baths, breathwork and workshops, each ticketed on its own. There is a sauna, a cold plunge and an outdoor terrace, and the room is also rented for brand events. Come for a specific session on the calendar, not for a drop-in timetable.
Flow Rise Mindful Healing
A Main Street studio that frames everything around nervous-system regulation rather than fitness — the schedule splits into mindful movement (vinyasa, hatha, mat pilates) and restorative practices (yin, breathwork, sound baths). Massage, red light therapy and an infrared sauna sit alongside the classes, so a visit can be a class, a treatment or both.
Rising Lotus Yoga
A twenty-year-old independent studio upstairs on Magnolia, with a dedicated new-student track rather than a general beginners' class — a real front door if you have never practised. Alongside the schedule it runs functional strength training, private coaching, teacher training, workshops and retreats, and streams classes on demand.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation and Cultural Center
A non-profit meditation centre on Ventura Boulevard where every class is free and open to the public — no membership, no drop-in fee, no experience needed. The practice is Sahaja Yoga meditation rather than asana. Sessions run midday on Mondays and Tuesdays, evenings midweek and Saturday mornings; the organisation also holds classes at other Valley locations.
Hot yoga Satorii Yoga and Wellness
Moved from West LA to Berkeley Street in the summer of 2026, with a heated room, a non-heated room and a dedicated meditation space. Classes run seven days a week: a slow, breath-led foundation class, a signature yang-then-yin hybrid, a conditioning class of strength and mobility drills, and a faster intermediate flow. Most of the room work is heated to 85–90°F, so come expecting to sweat unless you pick a non-heated slot.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Glendale Temple
The Fellowship's Glendale temple, a striking mid-century building on Chevy Chase Drive with a roof that sweeps up like a sail. Sunday and meditation services, Sunday school, and teen and young-adult programmes — more of a congregation than a drop-in room, and welcoming to first-timers.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Hollywood Temple
One of Paramahansa Yogananda's own temples, on Sunset near Vermont and running since the 1940s. The practice here is Kriya-lineage meditation rather than asana — Sunday services, meditation services, and a bookroom selling the Fellowship's texts. Open to anyone; no experience assumed and nothing to sign up for before you arrive.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine
Ten acres of spring-fed lake and gardens off Sunset, with a windmill chapel, a houseboat and a temple up the hill — the most-visited of the Fellowship's LA sites and as much a garden as a centre. Meditation services and Sunday services run in the temple; the grounds are the reason most people come. Visits are by reservation, so book before you drive out.
Traditional Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center Los Angeles
Classical Sivananda practice, seven days a week, from a Broadway suite sixteen blocks from the beach. The all-levels class is a full 90 minutes — breathing exercises, sun salutations, the twelve basic postures and a long final relaxation — with a shorter gentle class for anyone who wants more warm-up and shorter holds. Daily satsang of meditation and chanting is free and open to everyone, and the centre also runs teacher training, meditation and positive-thinking courses, yoga therapy and Ayurveda. Classes are offered in person and online; pre-registration is expected and there is a dress code.
Flow Soul Play Yoga
A community studio on Washington Blvd that sets out to have something for everyone in the room — beginners' classes, chair yoga, pre- and post-natal, kids' classes and a programme for older adults alongside the vinyasa, yin and sculpt schedule. Several restorative and yin classes pair the practice with reiki, breathwork or aromatherapy.
Sound bath Sound Bird Center
A sound bath, yoga and breathwork room on Washington Blvd that publishes its opening hours — unusual in this corner of the listings, where most schedules sit behind a booking app. Mostly evenings, with a Saturday and Sunday morning block.
Flow Sunstone Yoga
A single-location Westchester studio running vinyasa, yin and slow flow classes seven days a week, with sound baths and its own teacher training alongside. Booked through the studio's own online schedule.
Hot yoga Sweat Yoga Playa Vista
The Playa Vista room of the Sweat Yoga trio, on the ground floor of a Waterfront Drive office block. One big open studio with a graffitied wall, prop shelves along the back and a small retail counter at the front; the heated flow and power schedule matches the Santa Monica and West Hollywood rooms, and the intro pass works at all three.
Flow The Awoken Space
A small pastel room above the Pacific Coast Highway with an ocean view, running yoga, meditation and breathwork classes and workshops. Half of it is a curated shop — books, records and handmade objects — and the project extends into a podcast, so the space is as much a scene as a timetable. Contact is by email; check the schedule page before driving out.
Community The Circle Burbank
Not a public studio: a private women's membership community on Burbank Boulevard whose own site says it is open to members only. The programming is circles, sound baths, movement and workshops rather than a class timetable, and the room is built for sitting together. Worth knowing before you turn up — you join first, then attend.
The Clearing Topanga
A community-run studio in the canyon, named for the space in a forest where people gather. The schedule is built from local teachers and runs slow yin, creative flows, breath sessions and sound baths rather than a single house style. Memberships and studio rental are both on offer; contact is by email.
Meditation The Mindry
A meditation-first wellness centre off Cross Creek Road that describes itself as a sanctuary more than a studio — cushions before mats. The in-studio schedule mixes meditation and yoga, with private sessions, body and energy work, workshops and trainings alongside, plus an on-demand library if you would rather practise at home. There is a shop attached selling incense, oils and singing bowls.
Flow The Wellness of Oz
A small Burbank studio on Victory Boulevard with a warm, slightly homespun room — yellow walls, a painted om, props stacked in the corner. All-levels classes with teacher trainings, workshops and retreats alongside, and a schedule small enough that the teachers will know your name by the third visit.
Meditation Thrive Health and Wellness Collective
A collective of more than thirty independent practitioners founded by acupuncturist Margot Chambers in 2021, spread across two buildings on Stanford Avenue. Most of it is one-to-one treatment — acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, herbal medicine — but upstairs there is a studio room used for group meditation, sound journeys, reiki and yoga, plus a bamboo rooftop deck for community classes. Come for a specific event on the calendar; this is a healing practice first and a class timetable second.
Kundalini Veritas Yoga
A Kundalini-led studio in the Malibu Country Mart, where the kriyas come with breathwork, mantra and a gong rather than a mirror. The schedule also carries sound healing, yin, a dharma class, morning sadhana and a power class, plus surf yoga when the ocean cooperates, and there is an online studio for practising away from Malibu.
Flow Yoga Bliss
A boutique room on Manchester Avenue near Sepulveda, running vinyasa flow, yin and restorative for all levels. The room is warmed to about 80°F — enough to loosen you off, well short of a hot studio — and the calendar carries full and new moon sound baths, ceremonies and teacher training alongside the regular schedule. Free parking on Manchester or in the lot behind the building; booking runs through MindBody.
Yoga Box Hollywood
The first Los Angeles room of a chain that grew up elsewhere, on Cole Ave just off Santa Monica Blvd. Hot, vinyasa, power and restorative run through the day on an app-booked schedule, and first-timers get three free classes — a generous trial by LA standards, and enough to tell whether the heat suits you.
Yoga Box La Brea
Yoga Box's second Los Angeles studio, on South La Brea a few blocks north of Beverly. The class menu is the same as the Hollywood room — hot, vinyasa, power and restorative — in a newer space, and the same three-class trial applies.
Yoga Galactica
A small kundalini, breathwork and sound-bath operation running evening classes on Gower Street, plus outdoor sessions up at Runyon Canyon. Community-priced and openly cannabis-friendly, which is unusual enough to say out loud. Twice-weekly rather than a full timetable — check the calendar, and note the site also bills itself as Burbank, while the only street address it publishes is this one.
Paddleboard YogAqua
Stand-up paddleboard yoga, practised on the water rather than in a room: the class meets on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey and paddles out before it begins, boards included. Most people arrive having never done it, falling in is part of the morning, and the schedule follows the weather and the season rather than a fixed weekly timetable.
Power YogaSix Culver City
A Culver City location of the YogaSix chain, running power sculpt, restore, hot yoga and a sound bath format on its weekly schedule.
YogaSix Stevenson Ranch
The Santa Clarita Valley branch of the chain, out on The Old Road. The menu is the same six class types graded by intensity — restorative through hot and sculpt — which makes it a reasonable first studio if you have never booked a class before and do not want to guess what you are walking into.
YogaSix Studio City
The Ventura Boulevard branch of the chain, running the standard YogaSix menu — a slow restorative class, a hot one, a power class and a weighted sculpt — with the classes labelled by intensity so you can pick without guessing. Predictable in the way a chain is, which is the appeal if you are new.
Sound bath Zula Den
A West Adams space built around sound healing, breathwork and guided meditation rather than a class timetable — ceremonies, workshops and community gatherings are the format. Come for the evening events rather than a drop-in.
No studios match those filters yet. Try clearing one.
