Flow Round Willow Yoga
A Highland Avenue studio a block from Sol Seek El Porto, built explicitly around inclusivity and all levels being meant literally. Mats rent for $5 and blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets are supplied; restrooms are unisex, and there are no showers on site. Parking is the local difficulty, free spots sit east in the residential streets, metered at Rosecrans and Highland, and the studio suggests allowing fifteen minutes at weekends. Workshops, guest teachers and studio rental alongside the schedule.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation and Cultural Center
A non-profit meditation centre on Ventura Boulevard where every class is free and open to the public, no membership, no drop-in fee, no experience needed. The practice is Sahaja Yoga meditation rather than asana. Sessions run midday on Mondays and Tuesdays, evenings midweek and Saturday mornings; the organisation also holds classes at other Valley locations.
Hot yoga Satorii Yoga and Wellness
Moved from West LA to Berkeley Street in the summer of 2026, with a heated room, a non-heated room and a dedicated meditation space. Classes run seven days a week: a slow, breath-led foundation class, a signature yang-then-yin hybrid, a conditioning class of strength and mobility drills, and a faster intermediate flow. Most of the room work is heated to 85–90°F, so come expecting to sweat unless you pick a non-heated slot.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Glendale Temple
The Fellowship's Glendale temple, a striking mid-century building on Chevy Chase Drive with a roof that sweeps up like a sail. Sunday and meditation services, Sunday school, and teen and young-adult programmes, more of a congregation than a drop-in room, and welcoming to first-timers.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Hollywood Temple
One of Paramahansa Yogananda's own temples, on Sunset near Vermont and running since the 1940s. The practice here is Kriya-lineage meditation rather than asana. Sunday services, meditation services, and a bookroom selling the Fellowship's texts. Open to anyone; no experience assumed and nothing to sign up for before you arrive.
Meditation Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine
Ten acres of spring-fed lake and gardens off Sunset, with a windmill chapel, a houseboat and a temple up the hill. The most-visited of the Fellowship's LA sites and as much a garden as a centre. Meditation services and Sunday services run in the temple; the grounds are the reason most people come. Visits are by reservation, so book before you drive out.
Traditional Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center Los Angeles
Classical Sivananda practice, seven days a week, from a Broadway suite sixteen blocks from the beach. The all-levels class is a full 90 minutes (breathing exercises, sun salutations, the twelve basic postures and a long final relaxation), with a shorter gentle class for anyone who wants more warm-up and shorter holds. Daily satsang of meditation and chanting is free and open to everyone, and the centre also runs teacher training, meditation and positive-thinking courses, yoga therapy and Ayurveda. Classes are offered in person and online; pre-registration is expected and there is a dress code.
Hot yoga SoHo Yoga
A Hermosa Avenue studio running both heated and non-heated classes, and drawing as much on functional fitness, dance and Pilates as on yoga, the studio says so itself rather than pretending otherwise. The reason to know about it is the outdoor beach yoga at 14th Street and The Strand, which is a genuinely different thing from an indoor class. There is a 200-plus class on-demand library for $15 a month and a teacher training.
Sol Seek Yoga El Porto
Sol Seek's second Manhattan Beach room, opened in 2022 at the busy corner of Rosecrans and Highland, a few doors from Round Willow. It is the company's only heated studio, with classes between 85 and 108 degrees: hot flow, Burn, hot HIIT Pilates and Sol Strength, plus warm flow, warm yin and sound baths, in medium to large classes. The intro offer covers both rooms, and the livestream and on-demand library is shared.
Flow Sol Seek Yoga The Loft
The original Manhattan Beach room, formerly the Yoga Loft, on Ocean Drive a short walk from the pier. A full ocean-view studio where the light and the sound of the surf are genuinely part of the class. Small group sizes, flow, Yin and restorative across all levels, with Ayurveda treatments in the same space. Parking is the catch in summer; the Metlox structure on Manhattan Beach Blvd is the fallback.
Flow Soul Play Yoga
A community studio on Washington Blvd that sets out to have something for everyone in the room, beginners' classes, chair yoga, pre- and post-natal, kids' classes and a programme for older adults alongside the vinyasa, yin and sculpt schedule. Several restorative and yin classes pair the practice with reiki, breathwork or aromatherapy.
Sound bath Sound Bird Center
A sound bath, yoga and breathwork room on Washington Blvd that publishes its opening hours, unusual in this corner of the listings, where most schedules sit behind a booking app. Mostly evenings, with a Saturday and Sunday morning block.
Pilates Spiritual Flow Studio
A mother-and-daughter studio on Ventura that runs three things at once: reformer Pilates, heated mat Pilates and sculpt, and a yoga-and-sound track spanning vinyasa, detox power flow, yin, restorative and sound bath meditation. The heat is infrared and varies by class rather than being one hot room (roughly 96–100°F for mat Pilates and sculpt, 80°F on the reformers), with LED red-light therapy in the evening sessions. Reiki is offered one-to-one alongside the class schedule.
Traditional Spiritual Heart Yoga Center
A neighbourhood studio on Honolulu Avenue in Montrose, built on Hatha: the schedule runs from a traditional Hatha class through Hatha Flow, a Gentle Flow that is explicitly open to prenatal students, Gentle Yin and a half-flow half-restorative Flow and Release. Advance booking is required and walk-ins are not taken. Unlimited members also get an on-demand library of over a hundred videos, and there is a small boutique attached, open Sundays.
Studio Om
A volunteer-run 501(c)(3) lounge studio in University Park, built around four evening sessions a week instead of a daily timetable: After-Work Reset on Tuesday, Deep Sleep Reset with a sound bath on Wednesday, Social Reset with a community dinner on Thursday, and Slow Reset with restorative practice and kirtan on Sunday. The yoga is gentle and beginner-friendly, sessions are $20, and booking ahead is required because groups are capped at about 10 to 12.
Flow Sunstone Yoga
A single-location Westchester studio running vinyasa, yin and slow flow classes seven days a week, with sound baths and its own teacher training alongside. Booked through the studio's own online schedule.
Hot yoga Sweat Yoga Playa Vista
The Playa Vista room of the Sweat Yoga trio, on the ground floor of a Waterfront Drive office block. One big open studio with a graffitied wall, prop shelves along the back and a small retail counter at the front; the heated flow and power schedule matches the Santa Monica and West Hollywood rooms, and the intro pass works at all three.
Flow The Awoken Space
A small pastel room above the Pacific Coast Highway with an ocean view, running yoga, meditation and breathwork classes and workshops. Half of it is a curated shop (books, records and handmade objects), and the project extends into a podcast, so the space is as much a scene as a timetable. Contact is by email; check the schedule page before driving out.
Community The Circle Burbank
Not a public studio: a private women's membership community on Burbank Boulevard whose own site says it is open to members only. The programming is circles, sound baths, movement and workshops rather than a class timetable, and the room is built for sitting together. Worth knowing before you turn up: you join first, then attend.
The Clearing Topanga
A community-run studio in the canyon, named for the space in a forest where people gather. The schedule is built from local teachers and runs slow yin, creative flows, breath sessions and sound baths rather than a single house style. Memberships and studio rental are both on offer; contact is by email.
Cycling The Cycling Pigeon
A boutique spin studio first and a yoga studio second (it describes itself as exactly that), with outdoor spin on stationary bikes, in a covered private lot, filling most of the timetable and yoga classes taught alongside by two yoga instructors. The owner teaches both. Small, unpretentious and built around knowing its regulars, so worth knowing about if you want the bike and the mat in one place, and not the choice if you want a deep yoga schedule.
Flow The Greenhouse Yoga Collective
The only Palos Verdes studio in the directory, up on Palos Verdes Drive West above the coast. Founded in 2020 by Christie Havey Smith with a collective of South Bay teachers, running classes and workshops alongside one-to-one sessions, with single classes, packages and monthly subscriptions all offered rather than a membership-only door.
Meditation The Mindry
A meditation-first wellness centre off Cross Creek Road that describes itself as a sanctuary more than a studio, cushions before mats. The in-studio schedule mixes meditation and yoga, with private sessions, body and energy work, workshops and trainings alongside, plus an on-demand library if you would rather practise at home. There is a shop attached selling incense, oils and singing bowls.
Flow The Tree Yoga Cooperative
A worker-owned cooperative in South LA, which is rare enough in this directory to be the headline; it is currently owned and stewarded by Jana Johnson, Jennifer Alvarez and Rita Ortiz Contreras. Pay-what-you-can pricing from $5 keeps classes open, and there is a 200-hour teacher training, a Bali retreat and a wellness partnership programme alongside the regular schedule.
Flow The Wellness of Oz
A small Burbank studio on Victory Boulevard with a warm, slightly homespun room, yellow walls, a painted om, props stacked in the corner. All-levels classes with teacher trainings, workshops and retreats alongside, and a schedule small enough that the teachers will know your name by the third visit.
Hot yoga The Wild Plum
A holistic spa and yoga center on North Maclay Avenue in San Fernando, opened in 2018 by sisters Alexandra and Daniela Del Gaudio, with a scholarship that gives a monthly unlimited membership to students in financial need. Most of the 20 weekly classes are heated, the hot vinyasa up to 105°F with added humidity, alongside yin, Pilates fusion, a Sunday evening candlelight restorative and a Saturday kids class. The spa side runs facials, massage, private reiki, sound healing and an infrared sauna by appointment. New students get a month of unlimited yoga for $59, and parking is on the surrounding residential streets.
Flow The Yoga Center
A small studio that began in its founders' backyard as The Garden Yoga Center and moved indoors on Topanga Canyon, still pitched at a plainer, more grounded version of the practice. Classes sit alongside massage, private and semi-private yoga, and women's wellness services, and there is an unlimited intro week for $35. The website is sparse. The live booking calendar is the only place the schedule appears.
Yin Thrive Health and Wellness Collective
A collective of more than thirty independent practitioners founded by acupuncturist Margot Chambers in 2021, across two buildings on Stanford Avenue, and a healing practice first: most of it is one-to-one treatment (acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, herbal medicine) booked by appointment. The weekly group classes run in the upstairs studio at 2907, reached by the outdoor stairs: Yin Yoga and Breathe & Flow on Wednesday mornings, an evening stretch class for mobility, mat Pilates on Thursdays, holotropic-style breathwork on Saturday nights and a Sunday strength class for women in menopause. Mats and props are provided, and a class is $35 or $125 for four. The hours shown are the class times.
Hot yoga Urban 728 Yoga
A hot yoga studio on La Brea heated with a ThermaRay radiant system; flow, power, yin and mat Pilates are all taught in the heat, though the site publishes no temperature. Classes, sculpt included, run seven days a week, booked through the studio's app, with class cards, unlimited memberships and private sessions on offer.
Flow Veda Yoga La Cienega
The second room of Veda Yoga Center, the non-profit that has run on Venice Boulevard in Culver City since 2014, this one upstairs on South La Cienega. Same footing: classes from beginner to advanced taught in the Vedic tradition the name comes from, and complimentary lifetime memberships for veterans, military, firefighters and law enforcement.
Meditation Vedic Yoga and Meditation
Not a drop-in studio in the usual sense: this is the Swadharma Ashram, an ashram, Ayurveda clinic and college on Kenwood Street that dates its founding to 1901, with a Vedic Yoga studio inside it. The yoga taught is Swadharma Kriya Yoga alongside Sanskrit, Vedic philosophy and Jyotisha, and the same address offers Ayurvedic therapies and consultations. Sound baths, a women's circle and teacher trainings are on the public calendar. Come for the tradition and the study, not for a vinyasa class.
Kundalini Veritas Yoga
A Kundalini-led studio in the Malibu Country Mart, where the kriyas come with breathwork, mantra and a gong rather than a mirror. The schedule also carries sound healing, yin, a dharma class, morning sadhana and a power class, plus surf yoga when the ocean cooperates, and there is an online studio for practising away from Malibu.
Power Vive LA Yoga
An eco-chic San Pedro studio running 35-plus classes a week, built on the pairing it advertises: Power Vinyasa on one side of the schedule, Yin and meditation on the other. A 200-hour teacher training, retreats and private sessions fill out the rest, and the first week is free. The only full-schedule yoga studio the directory lists in San Pedro.
Hot yoga West Coast Sweat Hermosa Beach
A hot yoga room on Pier Avenue, with the classic Bikram sequence at the centre of the schedule alongside Inferno hot Pilates, power fusion and candlelight yin. There is a second location in Long Beach. Getting started runs $35 for a week, which is the sensible way to test whether a hot room agrees with you.
Hot yoga West Coast Sweat Long Beach
The original West Coast Sweat room, open since 2002 and out on Pacific Coast Highway near the Seal Beach line; Hermosa is the newer studio. The classic Bikram sequence is at the centre, with Inferno hot Pilates, which fills about half the schedule, and stretch and restore classes around it. Memberships cover both rooms.
Hot yoga White Heat Yoga
A boutique heated studio in the NoHo Arts District with a wider menu than most hot rooms: a fast Hot Flow, a Hot Power Fusion built on the classic 26-posture sequence, a weights-and-barre Hot Sculpt, a slow Dynamic Stretch that holds poses on long breaths, plus Buti Yoga and a beginners' Fundamentals class. New students get a week unlimited for $30.
Flow Yoga Bliss
A boutique room on Manchester Avenue near Sepulveda, running vinyasa flow, yin and restorative for all levels. The room is warmed to about 80°F (enough to loosen you off, well short of a hot studio), and the calendar carries full and new moon sound baths, ceremonies and teacher training alongside the regular schedule. Free parking on Manchester or in the lot behind the building; booking runs through MindBody.
Yoga Box Hollywood
The first Los Angeles room of a chain that grew up elsewhere, on Cole Ave just off Santa Monica Blvd. Hot, vinyasa, power and restorative run through the day on an app-booked schedule, and first-timers get three free classes. A generous trial by LA standards, and enough to tell whether the heat suits you.
Yoga Box La Brea
Yoga Box's second Los Angeles studio, on South La Brea a few blocks north of Beverly. The class menu is the same as the Hollywood room (hot, vinyasa, power and restorative), in a newer space, and the same three-class trial applies.
Flow Yoga by Joe K
The studio Joe K opened on West 5th Street after more than a decade teaching in LA, first at Modo Yoga LA from 2011 and then at Urban 728 Yoga, which he founded in 2016. Classes are vinyasa and power flows set to music in an infrared-heated room at 90 to 95°F, with a Saturday sculpt class, a Thursday evening yin restorative and a 90-minute signature class on Sunday mornings. A drop-in is $45 and new students get a week for $40; the $199 monthly membership adds red light therapy, a cold plunge and an outdoor shower. A 200-hour teacher training starts in February 2027.
Kundalini Yoga Galactica
A small kundalini, breathwork and sound-bath operation running evening classes on Gower Street, plus outdoor sessions up at Runyon Canyon. Community-priced and openly cannabis-friendly, which is unusual enough to say out loud. Twice-weekly rather than a full timetable. Check the calendar, and note the site also bills itself as Burbank, while the only street address it publishes is this one.
Hot yoga Yoga NoHo Center
A long-running Vineland Avenue studio running two tracks side by side (far-infrared heated classes and traditional non-heated ones), seven days a week, all of them built on a Hatha foundation the studio is explicit about. Sound baths, workshops and 200-hour and Yin teacher trainings fill out the calendar, and an on-demand video library covers the days you cannot get there. Contact is by email only; there is no phone line.
Flow Yoga Rebel Studio
Boutique strength, yoga and recovery on Foothill Boulevard, running 20-plus classes a week across three tracks, dynamic vinyasa and candlelit slow flows on the yoga side, plus strength, mat Pilates and mobility work, and sound bath meditations on the events calendar. Classes cap at twelve students, which is the reason to come: at that size a teacher can actually watch you.
Ashtanga Yoga Shala West
A traditional Ashtanga shala on National Boulevard, and one of the few places in LA running a proper Mysore-style morning programme: you arrive any time in the window and work through your own practice with the teacher moving between students, rather than following a led class. Led practice is Friday. The shala rests on the new and full moon, as the lineage does. Founder Pranidhi Varshney studied with Manju Jois, Nancy Gilgoff and Sharath Jois.
Flow Yoga108
A downtown Long Beach studio built around Bhakti principles, with a free kirtan on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Infrared heat, vinyasa and fitness classes fill the timetable, with workshops, trainings and retreats on top.
Yogalution Movement and Wellness
Now membership-supported, with monthly and annual memberships and single drop-ins, and still explicit about access: the studio calls itself Long Beach's most accessible. Classes on Redondo Avenue are joined by Yoga on the Bluff, a long-running donation-based outdoor class above the shoreline every day at 11am, plus a wellness centre, teacher training and online programmes.
Paddleboard YogAqua
Stand-up paddleboard yoga, practised on the water rather than in a room: the class meets on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey and paddles out before it begins, boards included. Most people arrive having never done it, falling in is part of the morning, and the schedule follows the weather and the season rather than a fixed weekly timetable.
Power YogaSix Culver City
A Culver City location of the YogaSix chain, running power sculpt, restore, hot yoga and a sound bath format on its weekly schedule.
Power YogaSix Long Beach
On Pacific Coast Highway about a quarter mile from West Coast Sweat, which makes this corner of Long Beach an easy place to try two very different rooms in a week. The YogaSix menu is the chain's usual six, graded by intensity and labelled plainly, which is the appeal if you are new enough that a studio's private vocabulary is a barrier.
Power YogaSix Porter Ranch
The north-Valley branch of the chain, in the Vineyards centre off Rinaldi. Same six-class menu as every other YogaSix (a slow flow, a restorative, a hot one, a power class, a weighted sculpt and a mobility class), each labelled by intensity, so you can pick without having to decode a studio's private vocabulary. That predictability is the whole point if you are new.
Power YogaSix Redondo Beach
On North Pacific Coast Highway, about half a mile from the pier. The chain's six class types graded by intensity, which makes it a low-risk first studio: you can read the schedule and know what you are walking into without having practised before.
Power YogaSix Rolling Hills
Named for Rolling Hills but actually in Torrance, on Rolling Hills Road near the Palos Verdes edge. Standard YogaSix menu of six class types graded by intensity, from a slow restorative through a hot one, a power class and a weighted sculpt, each labelled so you can pick without guessing.
Power YogaSix Stevenson Ranch
The Santa Clarita Valley branch of the chain, out on The Old Road. The menu is the same six class types graded by intensity (restorative through hot and sculpt), which makes it a reasonable first studio if you have never booked a class before and do not want to guess what you are walking into.
Power YogaSix Studio City
The Ventura Boulevard branch of the chain, running the standard YogaSix menu (a slow restorative class, a hot one, a power class and a weighted sculpt), with the classes labelled by intensity so you can pick without guessing. Predictable in the way a chain is, which is the appeal if you are new.
Sound bath Zula Den
A West Adams space built around sound healing, breathwork and guided meditation rather than a class timetable. Ceremonies, workshops and community gatherings are the format. Come for the evening events rather than a drop-in.
No studio matches all of that.
